The Democracy player with the appropriate VideoLAN or Quicktime components installed can also play Annodex. Like most players, the user interface does not take advantage of CMML (yet).

Windows players

Using the Directshow filters many media players on Windows can be enabled to support the Annodex file format for playback.

vlc support

Andre Pang implemented support of Annodex and CMML for VideoLAN's vlc media player, version 0.7.2 (25th May 2004).

xine support
